</p><p>Compassion is softening when it’s easier to harden.
</p><p>It’s seeing the tired behind someone’s smile,
</p><p>and offering your seat, your time, your quiet.
</p><p>
</p><p>Patience says, _“I’ll stay.”_
</p><p>Even when the conversation circles.
</p><p>Even when progress is slow.
</p><p>Even when you don’t get it yet.
</p><p>
</p><p>Compassion says, _“You matter.”_
</p><p>In the middle of mistakes.
</p><p>In the middle of mess.
</p><p>Without keeping score.
</p><p>
</p><p>Together they look like this:
</p><p>A hand that doesn’t pull away.
</p><p>A voice that doesn’t cut.
</p><p>A space where people can be human
</p><p>and still be loved.
</p><p>
</p><p>Patience teaches us to grow.
</p><p>Compassion teaches us why.
</p><p>And in that space between waiting and caring,
</p><p>the world gets a little gentler.
