He still remembers how everything went that day. He thought it was one of those cool displays done during Christmas or New Years, when a character from a popular show was displayed on the holographic dome. It was different this time though. Tangible, even. Real.

Tom just had a great day at the office. A client he had tried to close for weeks finally agreed to work with the company. A full fledged eight figure deal done and secured! He had to celebrate.

On his way home, he branched the liquor store nearby to buy himself the finest cognac. Throwing his briefcase and suit every which way, he settled into his sofa to watch the news, liquor in hand. The client was a pretty big deal, so he was anticipating the tale at the office be told on cable.

He couldn't believe what the news broadcasted instead. The correspondent seemed to be running for her dear life as she motioned towards the shaky camera screaming for help. She mentioned something about ants but the TV static didn't let her finish.

The cognac started to taste bitter in Tom's mouth as uncertainty began to diffuse across his mind. He opened the trending tab on Twitter and saw some posts tagged, #gi-ants. He remembered seeing the display of the Mind Flayer on the gigantic dome to celebrate five years since the shows finale.

Tom let out a smug laugh and chalked the post up to hippie paranoia, surprised they could even operate a phone at this point. Those ones are always looking for God-knows-what in the woods. Of course this is crazy new to them. But the more he scrolled, the more he realised this was no conspiracy theory. He called his parent's and sibling's homes severally to check on them, only for the calls to get sent to voicemail each time, back to back.

What do I do? What do I do? He ran outside, started his car and drove. He drove with the intention of getting to the sunset's centre. Anywhere else was better than here. Tom had reached the outskirts of the city when the road below him began to cave in.

His foot hit the gas and put the gears on reverse, attempting to maneuver his way out of this brand new problem. The road caved harder with a force so great, it made the car drift across the dirt road in fierce circles until it jammed itself onto a tree.

The last thing the remaining measures of Tom's strength allowed him to see before closing out his eyes was the stuff of nightmares.

1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.

Monthly Score
The Top Monthly Contributors ranking is a monthly metric indicating how users respond to your posts, not just how many you publish.
We look at three main things:
1
How strong your best post is —
Your highest-scoring post this month carries the most weight. One great post can take you far.
2
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
We also look at the average score of all your posts. If your work keeps getting good reactions, you get a boost.
3
How consistent the engagement you receive is —
Posting more helps — but only a little.
Extra posts give a small bonus that grows slowly, so quality always matters more than quantity.
In simple terms:
A great post beats many ignored posts
Consistently engaging posts beat one lucky hit
Spamming low-engagement posts won't help
Tips, comments, and upvotes from others matter most
This ranking is designed to reward
Thoughtful, high-quality posts
Real engagement from the community
Consistency over time — without punishing you for posting again
The Top Monthly Contributors leaderboard reflects what truly resonates, not just who posts the most.
