As horrid as the experience was for most serviteurs on Arturia, there lived a select few who didn't have to experience those conditions. The mud-beds, the reckless abandon and refusal to run clean water, no assurance of health care and adornments of rags which were the staple of the Marsh-dwellers weren't the lot of a few.

They were called: The Bugoise.

It's not like these ones were spared or anything in their capture into Arturia. They were former Marsh-dwellers who offered up their fellow servituers to live in stabler conditions.

Due to the conditions on the Marshes, some serviteurs tried to rebel and protest in boldness for better conditions, some tried to run away through the Ant Hills.

These defiants were ratted out to the Arturia forces by some Marsh-dwellers and were brutally punished for their resistance.

Jemima was the first rebel about two years ago. There were no means of care for her health in the absolute ramifications of it; even though she and so many others served as cogs to keep Arturia working.

Some soon-to-be Bugoise heard her discussing her plans to protest with some other Marsh-dwellers and ratted them out to Arturian officers. On the day of her protest with her ragtag team and their makeshift weapons, they raided some of the ration stations.

They were then surrounded by officers.

All of them were publicly executed, with Jemima's head severed and impaled on a pole. It was fixed at what served as the exit and entrance of the Marshes to serve as a warning.

Dan shared a piece of paper with Tom. "Those were blueprints of all the ration stations Jemima and her team were to raid." Tom looked up at Dan.

"I would know because I was part of the people she told about the plan", the paper was handed back to Dan.

"I just... didn't go with them that day" Dan said as he looked at Tom who was paying costly attention. There was an awkward silence in the room for a bit.

"Wow, I didn't know that", Tom sighed.

Tom's mind was still made up to have some extra rations, death or not. "There is a part of the ration station that Jemima didn't get to. It's like a blindspot" Dan said, breaking the silence. Tom sat up.

The plan was simple: when they get to the stations to get their rations, Tom would slip through a vent at the end of a slightly dark alley which led to a room with a looot of rations. Luckily, around the time of enacting this plan, there would be minimal to no surveillance.

Dan told Tom that he was going to make some preparations before heading to the headcount and then the ration station where they would execute the plan.

"Death before dishonor, my brother" Tom said to Dan as he clasped his fingers on his shoulder.

Dan smiled before heading off to prepare.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
