Good afternoon ma...( looks in search).

It was Tomiwa, a 10 year old, looking malnourished boy.

How are you doing??

( silence..........)

Goes ahead to ask........ Have you eaten today??

Yes, I ate in the morning.

What about this afternoon??

(It was past 3pm already)

I don't eat in the afternoon ma....

My heart sank 💔.

( BASED ON A TRUE LIFE STORY) .

What do you mean you don't eat in the afternoon??

Personally if I eat in the morning, in 2 hrs time, my tummy reminds me to put something little in again. Just little. And there's someone that skips a whole afternoon!. A child !!! .💔.

People don't like to hear the truth when it slaps, but here is one, if you are poor, broke and barely surviving, why are you having kids?.

You don't have a stable income, you barely survive to eat a 3 square meal, and somehow you bringing that child into chaos is love??.

Well that's not love, that's selfishness wrapped around sentiments!.

Now let me tell you something about POVERTY! ( speaks in beautified rage).

Poverty isn't just about lack of money. It's lack of opportunity, access, protection and peace of mind.

A child born into poverty isn't just dealing with hunger. They are battling with poor education, poor health care, low self esteem, misplaced priorities, constant stress and a future that they didn't choose.

How would you feel if I give you plantains and you don't like plantains?? Oooou you get now right?

It would be selfish of me to even compare poverty to plantain, because poverty is nothing sweet to plantains. But let's use that illustration for now.

They didn't request to be born into your "we go manage life".

Let's be honest, children cost a lot and these things don't come by prayer or vibes.

And no ! Love does not pay bills. Hope is not currency either!

It's how poor people tend to bear children the most for me.

A meme says " Nobody fertile pass poor man" 😂.

It's always the poor man that births many. Why??

It's funny how many people know they are not ready, but due to societal pressure and traditions, they go ahead anyway.

And then they raise angry and deprived children who grow up, thinking the world is wicked, when in reality their parents weren't just ready.

And no this isn't about shaming the poor. It's about calling out the dangerous lie that "children are blessings from God, no matter what".

There's nothing wrong in waiting. There's nothing wrong in accepting that you are not ready and capable of fending for the needs of a child yet.

I have seen hungry kids and struggling children, and I recommend having sex for fun, not procreation!!.

People should normalize getting married to the love of their lives.

Grinding together first, before birthing.

And if you insist on birthing, it shouldn't be more than one.

Have sex for the fun of it please!

Sex will forever be great, even without kids, right?

Nobody deserves to come into a life of wretchedness without their permission.

Let's stop turning poverty into poetry.

Children deserve more than survival. They deserve stability.

"DON'T TELL PEOPLE HOW TO LIVE THEIR LIVES"

No I will tell you please!!

Have a nice day 🌝 ❤️.

At the end of each month, we give out cash prizes to 5 people with the best insights in the past month
as well as coupon points to 15 people who didn't make the top 5, but shared high-quality content.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
