STILL BLOOMING THROUGH PAIN

Still Blooming Through Pain

There’s a girl with a heart too wide,

who keeps her deepest tears inside.

She smiles softly, speaks so low,

while hiding pains nobody knows.

And she’s almost eighteen ,still so young,

yet carries hurt on her fragile tongue.

Too young to feel her chest this tight,

too young for so many crying nights.

She loves so hard, she loves too deep,

turns broken memories into things to keep.

A simple word can change her day,

a little distance makes skies turn gray.

She overthinks at half past two,

re-reading texts like broken people do.

Trying to find in every line

proof that somebody’s truly mine.

She acts okay, says “I’m alright,”

while fighting silent wars at night.

Her heart grows tired, her soul feels weak,

yet still she searches for her peace.

And oh, her grief still speaks her name,

like cold dark clouds before the rain.

She learned too young what loss can do,

how missing someone follows you.

Some nights she stares into the dark,

holding pain close beside her heart.

Not wanting pity, not wanting noise,

just someone gentle with their voice.

At almost eighteen she’s felt heartbreak,

the kind that makes your whole soul shake.

The kind that steals your sleep away

and leaves your thoughts in disarray.

Yet even with her aching chest,

she still gives everybody best.

Still says her prayers before she sleeps,

still plants her hope where darkness creeps.

A fragile heart, a stubborn flame,

a girl still healing all the same.

Soft as flowers after rain,

still blooming beautifully through pain.

And maybe one day she will see

the girl the world was meant to meet

not too much, not hard

to adore,

just someone worth so much more.

Healing doesn’t always look like peace… sometimes it looks like surviving. Still blooming though.
