TOO YOUNG TO HURT THIS MUCH
<p>Too Young to Hurt This Much</p><p>I’m still young, still learning love,</p><p>Still asking God questions above.</p><p>Why does caring come with pain?</p><p>Why do good hearts break again?</p><p>I gave my all without a pause,</p><p>Loved him deeply without a cause.</p><p>Stayed loyal even through the storms,</p><p>While my own heart fought silent wars.</p><p>I memorized the way he spoke,</p><p>The little promises, every joke.</p><p>But somehow people change so fast,</p><p>And forever never seems to last.</p><p>I hate how one person can hold</p><p>The power to make your blood run cold.</p><p>One late reply, one different tone,</p><p>And suddenly you feel alone.</p><p>I told myself I would not cry,</p><p>Yet tears still found me every night.</p><p>Because loving hard is beautiful too,</p><p>But painful when it’s not returned to you.</p><p>I’m the type to stay and fix,</p><p>Even after getting hurt like this.</p><p>I’ll still pray for you when I’m mad,</p><p>Still care for you while feeling sad.</p><p>Maybe that’s my problem though,</p><p>I water flowers that never grow.</p><p>I give my heart in purest form,</p><p>Then sit alone through every storm.</p><p>At seventeen, I shouldn’t know</p><p>What it feels like to love this slow.</p><p>To stare at chats till 2 AM,</p><p>Replaying words again and again.</p><p>I shouldn’t know heartbreak this deep,</p><p>Or cry myself halfway to sleep.</p><p>But somehow pain became a song,</p><p>And I’ve been singing it for long.</p><p>Still, there’s a girl inside of me</p><p>Who believes in love honestly.</p><p>A girl who still gets butterflies,</p><p>Even after a thousand cries.</p><p>And maybe someday love will stay,</p><p>Not disappear or drift away.</p><p>Maybe someday I’ll be adored,</p><p>Without begging for the bare minimum anymore.</p><p>Till then I’ll carry this aching heart,</p><p>And slowly learn where healing starts.</p><p>Because even broken fl</p><p>owers bloom,</p><p>After surviving every stormy June.</p>
