My apology for the late posting.... I had a lot to handle..I am so sorry🙏🙏

It's another episode of Sunday Twists series where we collectively bring clarity to misty issues in the Bible and the Christian body in general. For now, season 1 will be all about Bible, other seasons will be tackling issues outside Bible...

In a jiffy, last week's twist questioned the authorship of the Pentateuch (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy) also known as the Torah. In its course, the same issue concerning the book of Psalms too was brought up. Both will be ironed out by God's grace....(😅so so theology🤒)

Firstly, the general answer to the questions is 2Timothy 3:16 (RSV): "All scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching........"

This will be an introduction to settling both questions especially with the Pentateuch. To start with, Moses is the profound writer of the Pentateuch, as for Genesis, yes those events were not witnessed by Moses especially the creation story but according to theological studies, God himself inspired Moses to write.....(in other words, God narrated the creation story and other events preceding Moses to him) and scholars date it to be during the 40 years journey in the wilderness, so Moses had 40 years to write the Pentateuch.

Also as for the record of his death in Deut 34, according to the Jewish Talmud (law/tradition) and most scholars, Joshua most likely wrote it, he Is the closest person to have recorded the death of Moses.

Now to the book of Psalms, David is not the sole author of the book of Psalms there are other authors. Breaking down the authorship of the book of Psalms:

David - 73 Psalms. Asaph & sons (David's worship leader) - 12 Psalms. Sons of Korah(Levite) - 11 Psalms. Solomon - 2 Psalms. Moses - 1 Psalm. Ethan and Heman the Ezrahites - 1 Psalm each. Anonymous - 49 Psalms. All together make up 150 Psalms in the Bible.

I drop my pen... Next episode in a moment...💯

PEACE.... ✌️
