Sunday Twists S1E4...Why did Jesus curse that fig tree?

Cheers🎉🎉 to another Sunday Twists where we collectively demystify mind-troubling issues that concerns the Christian body. Season 1 will be tackling issues in the Bible, other seasons will be dealing with matters outside Bible but still related to Christianity. Thanks to those who have been following and also to those who are just reading it. I really hope we are learning?🤔

So here is today's episode:

According to Matthew 21:18-19 and Mark 11:12-14, Jesus was walking by hungry, approaching a fig tree hoping to find fruits on it but is met with disappointment as there was no fruit on the tree. Due to this, JESUS CURSED THE FIG TREE! So literally: Jesus is hungry, and when he does not find figs on the tree, he curses it. Isn't that a bit odd 🤔? Now here is a twist to it:

Quoting Mark 11:13, "...for the time of the figs was not yet."(KJV) meaning it was not the season of figs yet. You might be asking "what is it with the harsh judgment on an innocent tree?" WHY DID JESUS CURSE THAT TREE?😫

✅ Should we say it was due to the anger of not finding any fruit on the tree as He expected?

✅Or was it hunger?😫

✅Or maybe there was a lesson Jesus wanted to teach....but....at the expense of the cutting off the existence of an innocent tree?😫

Please feel free to share ANYTHING you feel concerning this. In fact, counters are most welcome 😇.

Looks like I'll be sending a delegation to the heavens for interrogation maybe we can arrive at an answer 🤷😂.
