THE CLOCK THAT REFUSES TO BREAK (The Continuation)

Training Ground of the Broken Clock

Ryuga led them into an ancient ruin — a circular arena with a massive stone clock carved into the ground. Its hands were frozen at midnight. The air vibrated softly.

“This place amplifies time resonance,” Aira explained.

Ryuga walked to the center and drew a glowing line on the ground.

“Kairo. Step inside.”

Kairo obeyed.

Immediately the air shifted — like pressure dropping.

Ryuga raised his sword.

“Chrono energy responds to emotion. Fear, anger, confusion… all can twist time.”

He pointed at Kairo’s chest.

“You must learn to hold the blade without letting the blade hold you.”

Then—

Ryuga vanished.

A blur.

A golden flash.

Kairo barely lifted his katana before a shockwave pushed him backward.

Ryuga’s voice came from everywhere.

“Chrono Form One begins with stillness in chaos.”

Another attack — faster.

Kairo blocked again, sparks flying.

Shin watched, swallowing hard.

“Sensei is going too fast!”

Aira shook her head.

“He’s going easy.”

Ryuga reappeared behind Kairo and struck again.

Kairo felt the blade vibrate with energy he couldn't control. Blue sparks ran up his arm, unstable.

“You rely on instinct alone,” Ryuga shouted.

“That is why your future self breaks. Time cannot be controlled with fear!”

Kairo gritted his teeth and pushed forward.

“I’m not afraid!”

Ryuga stopped instantly.

Silence.

Then he said:

“Then show me.”

The First Step

Kairo closed his eyes.

He remembered:

Shin’s laughter.

Aira’s quiet voice.

Ryuga’s guidance.

His village.

His mother’s smile.

He breathed in.

Blue veins glowed softly along his arms — not shaking this time.

Energy flowed… steadily.

When he opened his eyes, the blue glow was calm and sharp.

Ryuga’s gaze sharpened.

“…Good.”

Kairo tightened his grip.

The clock beneath them started glowing.

The hands moved for the first time in centuries.

KLICK… KLICK…

Aira whispered:

“He’s synchronizing with time.”

Shin pumped a fist.

“That’s my boy!”

Ryuga raised his sword slowly.

“Kairo Renshin… you have taken the first step toward mastering your fate.”

But before Kairo could smile—

A rumble tore through the ground.

The sky darkened.

A massive circular rift opened above them — gears turning, shadows cascading downward.

A voice echoed through the distortion.

A cold, familiar voice.

Future Kairo.

“You think you can outrun me?”

A shadowy silhouette stepped out of the rift, eyes glowing red.

“You can change techniques…”

He raised his floating blade.

“...but you can’t change destiny.”

The air cracked like glass.

Kairo stepped forward, sword ready.

“No,” he said.

“I’m rewriting it.”

End of Episode 5

SO1 EO6 — THE WEIGHT OF A SECOND is coming soon....

ANTICIPATE 💪🏾

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to 7 people with the best insights in the past month. The 7 winners are picked
by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via
comments.
The winners are picked using the "Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
