The cruelty of love
<p>I'm overwhelmed, it's all too much</p><p>Can't keep pretending, it's time to let go, clutch</p><p>Messages replay, a painful loop</p><p>Was it a joke? My heart's in a swoop</p><p><br/></p><p>I reached out, but silence replies</p><p>Blocked, abandoned, left to wonder why</p><p>Desperate texts, a futile cry</p><p>Crazy, I was, lost in the haze, I'd fly</p><p><br/></p><p>Love's supposed to be for better or worse</p><p>But he left when things got tough, what a curse</p><p>Did he ever love me? Was it real?</p><p>Or was it all just a game, a heart that's cold and steel?</p><p><br/></p><p>The truth hits hard, like a bullet's bite</p><p>I was the one trying, loving, fighting</p><p>I gave my all, but it wasn't enough</p><p>Left with nothing, but the weight of my stuff</p><p><br/></p><p>What's my offense? Why this cruel fate?</p><p>Treated like I'm nothing, it's hard to relate</p><p>But I won't be defined by his actions' weight</p><p>I'll try to rise, I'll try to heal, I'll try to find my own way, I'll try to be great and hopefully everything will be fine…………</p>
