The Hands That Build Tomorrow
<p>Before the sun remembers how to rise,</p><p>they are already awake.</p><p>Not with applause.</p><p>Not with headlines.</p><p>But with quiet determination stitched into tired bones.</p><p>The woman at the roadside,</p><p>arranging oranges like fragile dreams</p><p>each one a prayer against hunger.</p><p>The man in a worn-out helmet,</p><p>lifting bricks heavier than yesterday,</p><p>building houses he may never live in.</p><p>The teacher,</p><p>writing hope on a cracked blackboard,</p><p>believing that one child, just one,</p><p>will rewrite the future.</p><p>The driver who knows every pothole like a scar,</p><p>yet still moves because stopping</p><p>is a luxury he cannot afford.</p><p>They are not celebrated in grand halls.</p><p>No cameras chase their struggles.</p><p>No medals hang around their necks.</p><p>But still</p><p>they show up.</p><p>Through rain that soaks their resolve,</p><p>through heat that questions their strength,</p><p>through systems that forget their names.</p><p>They show up.</p><p>Because somewhere,</p><p>a child must eat.</p><p>A bill must be paid.</p><p>A dream must survive.</p><p>And in their showing up,</p><p>they become more than workers</p><p>they become the quiet architects of survival,</p><p>the invisible engines of nations,</p><p>the pulse behind every progress we praise.</p><p>So today,</p><p>we do not just celebrate work.</p><p>We celebrate resilience.</p><p>We celebrate dignity in sweat.</p><p>We celebrate the courage it takes</p><p>to keep going when the world barely notices.</p><p>Because the truth is</p><p>the world does not stand on ideas alone.</p><p>It stands on hands.</p><p>On effort.</p><p>On sacrifice.</p><p>On people</p><p>who wake up every day</p><p>and choose not to give up.</p><p>Happy Workers’ Day</p><p>to the ones who build, who carry, who endure</p><p>you are not unseen.</p><p>You are the reason tomorrow exists.</p>
