The last letter from mama

When Amina lost her mother, the world seemed to stop. The house that was once filled with laughter became painfully quiet. Every morning, she still expected to hear her mother's gentle voice calling her name, but only silence answered.

Life became difficult. She had to balance school with taking care of her younger brother. There were days when there was barely enough food, yet she never complained. She remembered her mother's words: "No matter how dark the night becomes, never stop believing that morning will come."

One rainy afternoon, while cleaning her mother's old wardrobe, she found a small envelope with her name written on it. Her hands trembled as she opened it.

Inside was a letter.

"My dear Amina, if you are reading this, it means I am no longer by your side. Please don't let sadness steal your beautiful smile. I may be gone, but my love will never leave you. Take care of your brother, work hard, forgive easily, and never lose your faith in God. One day, you will understand that every sacrifice you make today is preparing you for a brighter tomorrow. I will always be proud of you."

Tears rolled down her face. For the first time since her mother's passing, they were not only tears of pain but also of hope.

She folded the letter carefully and carried it with her everywhere. Whenever life became too heavy, she read it again and found the strength to continue.

Years later, she graduated at the top of her class. As she stood on the stage to receive her award, she looked up at the sky with tears in her eyes and whispered, "Mama, I made it."

The applause echoed through the hall, but in her heart, she imagined hearing the one voice she had missed the most saying, "I'm proud of you."

Sometimes, the people we love leave this world, but their love never truly leaves us. It lives in our memories, our courage, and every step we take toward becoming the person they always believed we could be.
