<p>Do you love music or are you one of those rare inhabitants of the earth suffering from a serious case of music-phobia? Perhaps you are the type who cannot cook clean or study without something playing in the background because life itself is a movie. You may even have a playlist for every mood imaginable, from the days when everything feels right to those moments when you simply need your own space.</p><p><br/></p><p>Over time music has become such a familiar part of our daily lives that we hardly pause to notice the influence it carries. It follows us through morning routines long journeys study sessions exercise moments of celebration and those unplanned hours when we simply sit and let our thoughts wander. I know we know this already so let me remind us because perhaps we have become too familiar with it and forgotten its weight...music can make and music can mar! </p><p><br/></p><p>It is capable to bring in warmth to the mind or fill it with noise which is why we need to be more intentional about what we choose to call music, no wonder Adekunle Gold once asserted in one of his songs that noise does not constitute music simply because it has a sound, a beat does not automatically give every sound artistic or meaningful value and some songs are merely loud, occupying the ears for a moment without leaving the mind with anything worth keeping.</p><p><br/></p><p> We seem to have become so fascinated with whether a song is danceable that the message sometimes becomes an afterthought, there is absolutely nothing wrong with dancing or enjoying a song that gets everyone on their feet. </p><p><br/></p><p>Music should be fun, yeah...</p><p>Music should make us feel alive, it's the truth...</p><p>Still, what is the purpose of dancing away all your strength to lyrics that add nothing to your understanding or your perspective? What remains when the excitement disappears?...</p><p><br/></p><p> I have listened to some truly beautiful songs that have given me something far more lasting than a pleasant sound...they have enlightened me, taught me, challenged my thoughts, inspired me and introduced me to ideas I may never have encountered in an ordinary conversation, and that is my philosophy of music, " Music should leave something impactful with you "</p><p><br/></p><p>So I would love to know if there is a song you find deeply impactful, it might just find its way into my next playlist.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>
At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

Contributor Rankings

The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
