Never underestimate a beautiful woman. Brains can come in beautiful packages .
Hedy Lamarr featured in the film “Samson and Delilah ‘’.(1949) She played the role of Delilah .
Hedy Lamarr got divorced so many times that she ended up marrying her divorce lawyer , whom she divorced as well . Lol
But that’s not why I am here though. Lamarr is one of the trailblazers who have shattered the glass ceiling and made a lasting impact on the tech industry.
From Ada Lovelace, the first computer programmer to Grace Hopper , who coined the term “debugging”. These women paved the way for others to follow .
if you are reading this , you have Hedy Lamarr to thank for her contributions to the technologies that help create Wi-Fi . She is most famous for her work as an actress and a glamorous Hollywood icon in the 1930s and 40s but she is also an inventor .oh yes, you got me right.
At the height of her career during WWII , she used her passion for mathematics and Engineering to develop an idea for a frequency -hopping machine that couldn’t be tracked. She would go on to create a mechanism that would jump around radio frequencies to prevent a third party from jamming United States signals.
In 1942, Lamarr’s invention was patented and donated to help the US military defeat the Nazis. Unfortunately, the Navy declined her work, but, years later her invention started picking up traction .
Today, we can see similar techniques from Lamar’s invention used in Wi-Fi , GPS and Bluetooth .Her ideas helped revolutionize modern communication.
Talk of an absolute legend ! Talk of women in STEM!

Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.

Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
