TWO SIDES TO A COIN: PEACE OR WEALTH
<p><em>[Past me, walks in]</em></p><p></p><p>Imagine being rich and not at peace. </p><p>You drive around in Bentleys and </p><p>Rolls-Royces and piss in your gold toilets, </p><p>or whatever it is rich people do. </p><p>You fool the world with your fake smiles,</p><p> But do you fool yourselves too?</p><p></p><p>Even your Cartier glasses cannot hide the tears you've bled. </p><p>Your Tommy Hilfiger cannot seem to figure out the solution to your problem. </p><p>Your Dior perfumes cannot seem to mask your stench.</p><p></p><p>You think your Yves Saint Laurent heels can walk you out of the void you are standing in? </p><p>The clock's ticking. I'm sure you don't need a Rolex to tell you that.</p><p></p><p>So I'll ask again: Peace or Brand deals? </p><p>Peace, all the way, because being rich and </p><p>empty is the loudest kind of broke.</p><p></p><p><em>[Alter Ego steps in, smirking]</em></p><p>Of course, I love the wealth, the fame, and... maybe the girls.</p><p>What good is peace, when I could have thousands of pieces of gold at my disposal?</p><p>When I could command thousands of men like pawns on a chessboard?</p><p>Problems? Oh, throw pieces of gold on them like Lannisters.</p><p><br/></p><p>Why be a man, when you could be a man to men?</p><p>King to kings?</p><p><br/></p><p>“Money can’t buy happiness,” and peace would?</p><p>I’d rather wipe my face with my Louis Vuitton handkerchief in the comfort of my Bentley than whatever it is poor, peaceful people do.</p><p><br/></p><p>Doesn’t it get boring at times?</p><p>Nothing to worry about, just you and your peaceful thoughts?</p><p></p><p><em>[Present me, in the middle of all this]</em></p><p>Well, for me, I love the thrill.</p><p></p><p><em>[The Older me]</em></p><p>Oh, you all should shut up.</p><p></p><p>Maybe it’s not Peace OR Wealth...</p><p>Maybe it’s Peace WITH Wealth.</p><p>Wealth to build. Peace to enjoy.</p><p>Wealth to protect. Peace to feel.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because the richest man in the graveyard still can’t cash a check.</p><p>And the most peaceful man with an empty pocket still can’t sleep at night.</p><p></p><p>So I ask...
