Unspoken

It is true, you heard right;

The untold experiences are true.

My hands are shaking from carrying the load apportioned to them,

My legs are grumbling and crumbling from walking distance unending;

They wished they also had mouth to talk.

My eyes won't stop looking beyond the horizon for a sign, anything to give hope that they can be shot without consequence.

My lips couldn't hold together any longer,

They wonder why the always wet towel feels dry.

My collar bone and scapula kept cracking like dry wood on fire.

No one is coming along this path!

This dessert walk without comrades

We walk with women, men, and children yet each walks alone.

All the tricks in the book brought hope, not no comfort,

This experience is unique to me alone,

No one has ever witnessed the struggles I survived, nor the ones to come

I have not witness anyone's troubles either,

They all carry the same name, maybe same nature, but different prints.

I am willing to keep my eyes beyond the horizon,

I have tightened my shoelace till I find solace.

This may seem like a neverending journey,

But in my journal, my pen will eventually ink it's end.

©👉🏾Samodan
