I never set out to be a film critic.

Here, we mostly talk about…honestly, I’m not even sure anymore. Feelings? Life? Definitely not whether a movie earns it’s plot twist.

But someone said to me, “Write a review.”

I said yes before remembering I have an attention span of a four year old. But I did it. I watched Fairplay.

Consider this my official, slightly begrudging, quite-corner-approved review. I’ll be over here pretending I know what I’m talking about, with just enough humor to make sure no one falls asleep before I get to the point.

So, let’s talk about Fairplay.

It’s about two people in finance. A couple. She gets the promotion. He doesn’t. His ego is bruised and things go downhill fast.

The guy. Let me tell you about him.

Every time he opened his mouth, I felt my soul leave my body. I could feel my blood pressure rise and my eye twitch. The way he assumed she got the job because she’s a woman—that she must have slept her way up there. Not that she was good at her job. Not that she earned it. Just jumped straight into the worst possible conclusion.

I don’t think I’ve been this annoyed by a man on my screen before.

But honestly? The tension was good.

Uncomfortable, but good. You feel the shift between them and the acting holds up. You believe they actually liked each other once which makes watching them fall apart even worse.

Then the ending happened.

Watching her make him beg? Worth it. It was worth every minute of frustration and anger. I actually cheered.

So who’s this movie for?

If you enjoy watching insecure men get what they deserve, this one’s for you. If you ever had someone assume your success came from anything other than your own effort, this one will hit.

But if you need someone to root for, though? Maybe skip it. Everyone here is varying degrees of messy and there’s nothing light about it.

Would I watch it again? Probably not. Am I glad I watched it? Yes. Mostly because that ending lives rent-free in my head now.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

We pick the top 3.

Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
