A tribute to the oldest daughter

Apparently today is Eldest Daughter's Day so this is a tribute her I guess and I hope after reading this you'll appreciate your older siblings more.

A first child is a joy for any family but no one knows or doesn't realize the weight and amount of expectations that come with being the first child. The first daughter I think carries more of this expectations.

From having to take care and watch out for younger ones to having to behave properly at all times to set a good example for younger ones. From having to set a good academic and otherwise general examplary example for the younger ones to have to learn the cooking, cleaning and house chores more efficiently and better than the other siblings.

An eldest daughter is expected to have her life so put together at such a young age, some may not relate to this but this is some others reality. Quietly and meekly accepting blame for any wrong doing whether her fault or not, carrying a lot of weight on her shoulders, she still moves through life with a quiet grace, elegance and courage that is frankly inspiring if you think about it

Appreciate an eldest daughter today, you don't know how much she may have needed to hear it.
