<p>ALMOST SOMETHING</p><p><br/></p><p>Chapter One — The New Seat</p><p><br/></p><p>Amara hated Mondays.</p><p>Not because of school, but because Mondays always felt too long.</p><p>That morning, she rushed into class two minutes before the bell.</p><p>Then she noticed someone sitting beside her.</p><p>A boy.</p><p>She had never seen him before.</p><p>"Is this seat taken?" he asked.</p><p>Amara shook her head. "No."</p><p>"I'm Daniel."</p><p>"Amara."</p><p>That was their entire introduction.</p><p>During class, he barely spoke.</p><p>At break, Teni leaned over and whispered, "He's cute."</p><p>Amara rolled her eyes. "He's just new."</p><p>But when Daniel smiled at her before leaving,</p><p>she caught herself smiling too.</p><p>She didn't know it yet,</p><p>but that simple Monday was the beginning of something.</p><p>Something neither of them had a name for.</p>
