The same guy who shared drafts with you before publishing.”

Rylee’s voice came from across the room.

“Wait…”

He stepped closer.

“You mean—”

The man finished the sentence calmly.

“Tavi.”

The name hit the table like thunder.

Tavi.

My closest friend on the TwoCents Amebo Group.

The same Tavi who had suddenly vanished from the group months ago.

Dolapo covered her mouth.

“That can’t be true.”

The man shrugged.

“It is.”

I turned slowly toward the woman sitting beside him.

“You knew Tavi?”

She didn’t answer.

That silence was all the confirmation I needed.

My voice dropped.

“Tell me something.”

She looked up.

“Did you break his heart?”

Her eyes shimmered slightly.

“Yes.”

The café went silent again.

But the man wasn’t finished.

Because the next sentence he said didn’t just shake the table.

It shattered it.

“And the reason Tavi disappeared…”

He leaned closer to me.

“…was because he found out something about you.”

My stomach dropped.

“What are you talking about?”

The man smiled faintly.

“The night Tavi confronted her about cheating…”

He paused.

“…the person she cheated with…”

Another pause.

“…was you.”

The entire café froze.

Even the music seemed to stop, but it sang slowly...

"Now this gon' be the hardest thing I think I ever had to do.
Got me talkin' to myself askin' how I'm gon' tell you
'Bout that chick on part 1 I told ya'll I was creepin' with, creepin' with....."

Dolapo whispered slowly.

“No way.”

Rylee’s jaw dropped.

Faye stared at me like she was seeing a stranger.

And the woman sitting beside me finally whispered the one word that confirmed everything.

“BigDan…”

---

Next On…

The café erupts as accusations begin to fly.

But the most dangerous reaction won’t come from the man at the table.

It will come from someone who just walked back into town.

Because Faye knows something about Marcus that no one else does.

And the next song on BigDan’s playlist will reveal the most painful truth yet.
