What would you do if your nation was in a war with another? If your country is defeated, it is nearly a given that its name will be erased from the face of the planet. There is no middle ground: victory or defeat. How hard will you fight? We are discussing a REAL war, not a fictional one. In actuality, anything you've seen on your screen pales in comparison to real-world combat. No one is ever the same after a battle; you are either permanently traumatized, murdered, or maimed. Oh, you don’t have to fight if you don’t want to. The last thing you’d want is take half-hearted warriors to a battlefield. Sergeant (Sgt.) UH was a renowned army officer who was brave and fearless. He was the type of soldier who showed outstanding dedication to his work. You would be inspired to join the military by his enthusiasm for the work. This young cop is intelligent, disciplined, tough, and resilient—what's not to adore about him? Finding officers who are devoted to their superiors is simple; a few ‘brown envelopes’ and some other benefits will buy you that, but finding an officer who is unwaveringly loyal to his nation is undoubtedly difficult. Throughout his career, he encountered a number of circumstances that put his commitment to the test, yet he managed to remain faithful to both his profession and the country as a whole. When you are wealthy and have ample means, it is simple to resist temptations, however this Sgt. was a lowly junior officer. The only noteworthy possession of Sgt. UH was his incredibly attractive wife. He often made jokes about how God rewarded him for being a good man by giving him a beautiful wife. She was not only gorgeous but also a loving and encouraging wife. You could tell that she was prepared to swim or sink with her husband; she would stick with him in abundance or poverty. It's not like they were a poor couple, but her beauty will do well with greater resources. She knew her husband was a good man and that their fortunes will change in due course. Sgt. UH was no stranger to wars. He had engaged in combat and survived, albeit with certain bruises and traumas. He had faced death multiple times, but he had mysteriously triumphed. Somewhere in a village devastated by insurgents, his name was written for another assignment. As he prepared for this trip, all he had was hope. He was aware that it might be his demise, but he refused to be a fool and let fear control him. Why give up before the fight even begins? He received a call to return to the barracks a few days into the operation. There were rumors that his wife had been having extramarital affairs even before he returned home. Barrack people and amebo! He had heard similar baseless tales before. Usually, he dismissed it with a joke and explained to anyone who would listen that it was the result of having a stunningly attractive wife. He was genuinely perplexed as to why, at a time when the conflict was intensifying and the army were in dire need of personnel, he was requested to return home. He was given the unique chance to return home, spend time with his wife, and select a different unit – no more fighting war. He could not have wished for a better way for God to change his story. He had a once-in-a-lifetime chance to have dinner with the president, who made this officer an incredible offer. All Sgt. UH had to do was stay at home and love his wife, and he would have access to people, privileges and promotions. However, he found it incomprehensible. His country's sovereignty was under jeopardy. While his colleagues were risking their lives someplace in the forest, he was unable to enjoy life's pleasures. He rejected all of the offers and made the decision to return to combat. His loyalty to his country was far greater than what the president offered. Was it really loyalty or craze? This was a lifetime opportunity to become prosperous. Everywhere you go, you will encounter two groups of Christians: those whom the gospel has prospered and those whose lives prospered the furtherance of the gospel. Nothing whatsoever is wrong with the former. The latter are individuals who gave themselves willingly for the ‘sovereignty of their nation’ to continue. Even offers from monarchs and presidents could not purchase their allegiance. They knew there was a warfare, yet offering their lives was insignificant.
