<p>Dear July,</p><p><br/></p><p>Before you knock,</p><p><br/></p><p>answer me this, </p><p><br/></p><p>Have you come to heal,</p><p><br/></p><p>or have you come to finish what the other months started?</p><p><br/></p><p>January arrived carrying promises.</p><p><br/></p><p>February taught me how quickly hope can change its mind.</p><p><br/></p><p>March rushed past without remembering my name.</p><p><br/></p><p>April borrowed my faith.</p><p><br/></p><p>May demanded more than I had left to give.</p><p><br/></p><p>June...</p><p><br/></p><p>June smiled while teaching me that survival and living are not the same thing.</p><p><br/></p><p>And now...</p><p><br/></p><p>there's you.</p><p><br/></p><p>Standing at my door like a stranger who already knows everything about me.</p><p><br/></p><p>Tell me, </p><p><br/></p><p>Should I welcome you,</p><p><br/></p><p>or brace myself?</p><p><br/></p><p>I've grown tired of celebrating new beginnings that end as unfinished stories.</p><p><br/></p><p>Tired of planting dreams in seasons that never learned how to rain.</p><p><br/></p><p>Tired of telling people,</p><p><br/></p><p>"Next month will be different."</p><p><br/></p><p>So if you've come with blessings,</p><p><br/></p><p>don't whisper them.</p><p><br/></p><p>If you've come with lessons,</p><p><br/></p><p>let them not cost another piece of who I am.</p><p><br/></p><p>If you've come empty-handed,</p><p><br/></p><p>then at least leave my hope untouched.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because I've discovered something cruel about time—</p><p><br/></p><p>It never stops to ask whether the heart is ready.</p><p><br/></p><p>It simply keeps moving.</p><p><br/></p><p>And somehow...</p><p><br/></p><p>expects us to keep moving with it.</p><p><br/></p><p>So come in, July.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not as another month on a calendar.</p><p><br/></p><p>Come as proof</p><p><br/></p><p>that not every closed chapter</p><p><br/></p><p>is the end of the story.</p>
