<p>I wish—</p><p>I wish I would not always find fault in everyone I so much as gaze upon.</p><p>I wish I could hold onto my emotions for longer than a few fleeting seconds before they fade into nothingness.</p><p>I wish I were not so smart,</p><p>for perhaps then I could blend into the conformity of society.</p><p>I wish…</p><p>I wish…</p><p>I wish…</p><p>But alas, that is all they are.</p><p>For if wishes were horses, then beggars would ride.</p><p>And though I am no beggar,</p><p>I too would love to ride across that lush green expanse where I reign as queen over all I desire.</p>
