<p>I was about to write something else and post here when this just came to my mind. Consider it a piece of advice if you like. Write the story only you can tell, since someone else’s version of your idea will never be as good as yours. However, stay grounded by reading more than you write, because every writer is a reader first. As Stephen King put it, “<em style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">if </em><em style="-webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;">you don’t have time to read, you don’t have the time (or the tools) to write</em>.” So, own your voice while learning from the voices around you because confidence on the page is built on the knowledge we acquire from what we read, what we experience and what we are willing to learn.</p>
