They miss your attention, your kindness, your constant availability. They miss having someone who would listen to their problems, forgive them easily, or always make room for them.</p><p><br/></p><p>And when you finally step back, suddenly they remember how much they “miss” you.</p><p><br/></p><p>But there’s a difference between missing someone and missing what they provided.</p><p><br/></p><p>Someone can miss your presence without truly valuing you. They can miss the comfort you gave them without ever considering whether they were making you uncomfortable. They can miss your attention without ever asking if you felt seen.</p><p><br/></p><p>That’s why sometimes, you shouldn’t rush to reopen a door just because someone knocks on it again.</p><p><br/></p><p>Distance has a way of revealing things that closeness can hide.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes walking away isn’t about anger. It isn’t revenge. You simply realise that having access to you is a privilege, not a permanent entitlement.</p><p><br/></p><p>And honestly?</p><p><br/></p><p>You’re allowed to stop being available to people who were only comfortable with you when you were constantly available to them.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not everyone who misses you deserves access to you again.</p>
