<p>The bus station was almost empty</p><p>It was one of those nights when the air felt colder than usual and everyone seemed to have somewhere to be except me</p><p>I checked the time on my phone for what felt like the hundredth time "9:43 pm"</p><p>The conductor shouted the Last bus the Last bus!!!!</p><p>I hurried over holding my backpack against my chest</p><p>The bus was not full so I picked a window seat and rested my head against the glass</p><p>A few minutes later someone sat beside me and asked Is this seat taken? </p><p>I shook my head and said NO</p><p>He smiled before sitting down</p><p>We did not speak again for a while</p><p>The bus pulled out of the station and all I could hear was the engine people talking quietly and music leaking from someone's earphones</p><p>About twenty minutes into the trip the bus suddenly stopped, a herd of goats had wandered onto the road, and everyone groaned "this has to be the slowest goats in Nigeria"</p><p>I laughed before I could stop myself</p><p>They are probably having a meeting</p><p>He laughed too</p><p>That was how it started</p><p>We talked about everything and nothing</p><p>School, embarrassing moments,our favorite food , childhood dreams, and why Lagos traffic could test anybody's patience</p><p>It did not feel forced</p><p>It felt like talking to someone I had somehow known for years</p><p>Somewhere in the middle of our conversation he looked out the window and said quietly</p><p>Do you ever wonder how many people we meet for just one moment and never see again</p><p>I did not answer immediately</p><p>Instead I looked outside too</p><p>The streetlights passed one after another disappearing into the darkness behind us</p><p>I think about that sometimes I admitted</p><p>Maybe some people are only meant to be part of one chapter</p><p>He nodded</p><p>Maybe</p><p>Hours later the bus finally reached my stop</p><p>I stood up adjusted my bag and smiled</p><p>It was nice meeting you</p><p>You too</p><p>I stepped down and watched as the bus drove away</p><p>No phone number...</p><p>No social media...</p><p>Not even a last name...</p><p>Just one conversation with a stranger that somehow stayed with me long after the bus disappeared into the night</p><p>Sometimes the people who leave the biggest memories are the one we only meet ones </p><p><br/></p>

The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.

Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via
comments.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
