THE FATHER WE CHOSE (part 1)
<p>For the three sisters, home had always been their mother.</p><p><br/></p><p>She was the one who woke them up in the morning, made sure they had something to eat, listened to their endless complaints, and somehow managed to put a smile on their faces even when she was tired herself.</p><p><br/></p><p>Their home wasn't perfect.</p><p><br/></p><p>They argued over clothes.</p><p><br/></p><p>They fought over food.</p><p><br/></p><p>They annoyed each other almost every day.</p><p><br/></p><p>But at the end of it all, they were happy.</p><p><br/></p><p>They had each other.</p><p><br/></p><p>And most importantly, they had their mother.</p><p><br/></p><p>Their mother had raised them without their father.</p><p><br/></p><p>It was something they had grown used to, even though they didn't completely understand it.</p><p><br/></p><p>As children, they rarely asked questions.</p><p><br/></p><p>They simply accepted whatever their mother told them.</p><p><br/></p><p>But as they grew older, things began to change.</p><p><br/></p><p>They started noticing the things other families had that theirs didn't.</p><p><br/></p><p>A father waiting outside school.</p><p><br/></p><p>A father attending birthdays.</p><p><br/></p><p>A father calling to check on his children.</p><p><br/></p><p>A father sitting at the dinner table.</p><p><br/></p><p>One evening, while the three sisters sat with their mother, the youngest finally asked the question that had been sitting in her heart for years.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Mummy…”</p><p><br/></p><p>Their mother looked up.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Yes?”</p><p><br/></p><p>“Who is our father?”</p><p><br/></p><p>The room suddenly became quiet.</p><p><br/></p><p>Their mother stared at her for a moment before looking away.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Why are you asking me that?”</p><p><br/></p><p>“Because we want to know,” the eldest replied.</p><p><br/></p><p>Their mother sighed.</p><p><br/></p><p>“There are some things you children don't need to worry about.”</p><p><br/></p><p>“But he's our father,” another one said. “Don't we have the right to know him?”</p><p><br/></p><p>Their mother didn't answer.</p><p><br/></p><p>That silence was enough to make them realize there was more to the story.</p><p><br/></p><p>From that day, the question became almost impossible to forget.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes they asked directly.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes they tried to bring up the subject casually.</p><p><br/></p><p>Sometimes they searched through old pictures and documents around the house, hoping they would find something their mother had forgotten to hide.</p><p><br/></p><p>But their mother never gave them a clear answer.</p><p><br/></p><p>Whenever they asked, she changed the subject.</p><p><br/></p><p>Whenever they pushed too hard, she became uncomfortable.</p><p><br/></p><p>And slowly, curiosity turned into determination.</p><p><br/></p><p>They wanted answers.</p><p><br/></p><p>They wanted to know the man whose absence had been a part of their lives since childhood.</p><p><br/></p><p>One afternoon, while going through some old things, they found something.</p><p><br/></p><p>Something their mother had probably never expected them to see.</p><p><br/></p><p>They stared at it for several seconds.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then they looked at one another.</p><p><br/></p><p>“Is this him?”</p><p><br/></p><p>Nobody answered.</p><p><br/></p><p>They looked again.</p><p><br/></p><p>There was a name.</p><p><br/></p><p>A photograph.</p><p><br/></p><p>And information that connected the man to their family.</p><p><br/></p><p>Their hearts began beating faster.</p><p><br/></p><p>After years of wondering, they finally had something.</p><p><br/></p><p>A clue.</p><p><br/></p><p>A real clue.</p><p><br/></p><p>They started searching.</p><p><br/></p><p>One question led to another.</p><p><br/></p><p>One piece of information led to another.</p><p><br/></p><p>Until eventually, they found him.</p><p><br/></p><p>Their father.</p><p><br/></p><p>The man they had spent their childhood wondering about.</p><p><br/></p><p>The man their mother had refused to talk about.</p><p><br/></p><p>The man they had convinced themselves they might never meet.</p><p><br/></p><p>He was real.</p><p><br/></p><p>And now they knew where he was.</p><p><br/></p><p>The three sisters looked at each other.</p><p><br/></p><p>For the first time in their lives, they felt like they were finally getting the missing piece of their family.</p><p><br/></p><p>They didn't know what kind of man he was.</p><p><br/></p><p>They didn't know why their mother had kept him away from them.</p><p><br/></p><p>They didn't know what would happen when they finally stood before him.</p><p><br/></p><p>All they knew was one thing.</p><p><br/></p><p>They had found their father.</p><p><br/></p><p>And they had no idea that finding him would be the beginning of everything.</p>
