To my dear secondary school self
<p>Hi Haliyah</p><p><br/></p><p>You are now a 300-level student of KWASU.</p><p><br/></p><p>But unfortunately, we are not studying Law. 😭 We are studying Public Administration, and we actually love it.</p><p><br/></p><p>Do you remember that time when we loved doing debates and arguing so much? We thought we could start practising to become lawyers. 😂 I still remember how serious we were about it.</p><p><br/></p><p>Do you remember when we received an award for being the best student in Arts?</p><p><br/></p><p>And do you remember how we were always going for the higher mark jn class? </p><p>I honestly don't even know why we did that. 😭 But I guess we just wanted to prove to ourselves that we could do it.</p><p><br/></p><p>A lot has changed now.</p><p><br/></p><p>Although we love our new course, there is no longer that urge to do things like going for positions and all. We just want to have a solid CGPA now. 😂</p><p><br/></p><p>Guess what we only have now </p><p><br/></p><p>We have a business now. We tried hair styling. We started writing. We kept trying new things, even when we didn't know where they would lead us.</p><p><br/></p><p>And the funny thing is, the only thing we seem to loose interest in for now is leadership.</p><p><br/></p><p>I don't know exactly where all of this will take us, but I think you would be proud to see how far we have come.</p><p><br/></p><p>You probably thought your life would look completely different by now. Mine does too sometimes.</p><p><br/></p><p>But I'm glad we didn't stop trying.</p><p><br/></p><p>I'm glad we kept discovering new things about ourselves.</p><p><br/></p><p>And most importantly, I'm glad we still have those memories.</p><p><br/></p><p>Thank you for giving me the best memories.</p><p><br/></p><p>I may not be exactly where you thought we would be, but hey...</p><p><br/></p><p>we're doing okay. 🤍</p>
