That doesn't make sense you may think. But stick around, and let me explain.
People say 'you have to earn my respect'. I disagree with that. To me everyone is entitled to the basic form of respect. They do not have to earn that. Whenever we meet new people, by the laws that govern social interaction, they are entitled to be respected, as we are - at least as humans. But the idea of 'you have to earn my respect', has made some of us deprive others of that basic respect.
'Earn my respect' has become the mantra of the rude and mannerless. Too many times, we come across social media posts that prove this. There seems to always be some sort of squabble about respect. Especially between the older and newer generations. Which brings me to another thing. It is my believe that time and age is worthy of respect. I revere age, and I believe everyone should as well. Whether a person chooses to abuse the gift of age, is entirely up to the person. Do not meet an elderly person, and wait for that person to do anything before granting him the respect his age has entitled him to. Do not also let anyone abuse the privilege of age.
This is what I think. You get acquainted with someone, you give said person the respect due all humans. And if along the line, they prove undeserving, then you can withdraw it. No questions asked.
So when I say 'Respect is not earned, it is lost', I mean simply that; it already exists by default, but can be withdrawn, if not appreciated.

We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.

and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track

3
Avoid using AI to generate contentâuse it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio contentâhigh-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover imagesâif your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
