<p>Reverse of the years</p><p><br/></p><p>One day, I'll sit my children down as an historian </p><p>Sink words to their head </p><p>Let them know we're back to the pre 1960s era </p><p>We never go forward as one anymore </p><p>Reverse is the case they should know </p><p><br/></p><p>Our anthem seems hmmmmm</p><p>We no longer rise as compatriots, </p><p>Nigeria’s call to obey is not ours anymore </p><p>We're not willing To serve our fatherland again </p><p>love and strength and faith is used for something else </p><p><br/></p><p>The labour of our heroes past seems to be in vain </p><p>as we're back to the olden eras </p><p>To serve with heart and might is something we utter and not making use </p><p>One nation bound in freedom, peace and unity.</p><p>Is now inbound with the freedom, peace and unity </p><p><br/></p><p>Oh God of creation,we call unto you not wholeheartedly </p><p>He directs our noble cause but do we adhere?</p><p>He Guide our leaders right then and they listen </p><p>Help our youth the truth to know that you can bring back our true identity </p><p>In love and honesty we shall grow if we listen </p><p><br/></p><p>And living just and true as you guide </p><p>Great lofty heights attain,ohh lord </p><p>Help us to build a nation where peace and justice shall reign.</p><p>Teach us how to rise again as a compatriots </p><p>Let's us know the truth behind our heroes labour that's in vain.</p><p><br/></p><p>© Coward pen 🖋️🖊️</p>
