From hospitals and farms to roads and schools, robots are slowly helping humans solve problems and making work easier. When I think about the future, I believe robotics can help create smarter and safer communities, especially in countries like Nigeria where there are many problems technology can help us solve.</p><p><br/></p><p>One area where robotics can be very useful is healthcare. Doctors and nurses work hard, especially in busy hospitals. Robots cannot replace them, but they can help with some tasks. For example, robots can assist in surgeries, deliver medical equipment and help monitor patients. In the future, this could make healthcare faster and more efficient. Imagine a robot helping doctors reach people in areas where there are not enough medical workers. That would be something serious.</p><p><br/></p><p>Agriculture is another area where robotics can make a big difference. Many Nigerians depend on farming, but farming can be stressful and difficult. Robots and drones can help farmers check their crops, find problems early and even assist with planting and harvesting. Instead of farmers doing everything manually, technology can help them save time and reduce stress. No be every work person suppose suffer to do manually again when technology fit help.</p><p><br/></p><p>I remember imagining one funny situation where a farmer decides to use a robot for everything. The farmer tells the robot, “Go and water the crops.” The robot begins watering everything—including the farmer’s slippers that were left outside. 😂 The farmer shouts, “Robot, stop! Those are my slippers!” But the robot just continues because, technically, it was told to water everything. Na so the farmer go learn say when you dey give robot instructions, you need to be very specific.</p><p><br/></p><p>Robotics can also improve safety. During disasters such as building collapses, fires or floods, some places can be too dangerous for people to enter immediately. Robots with cameras and sensors can help emergency workers inspect these places first. This can give them important information and help reduce the risk to human lives. Robots can basically enter some places where humans may not be safe.</p><p><br/></p><p>Nigeria also has many problems that could benefit from smart technology. In Lagos, for example, traffic, flooding and waste management are serious challenges. Robotic systems and automated technology could help monitor roads, inspect drainage systems and improve how waste is managed. Imagine a system that can detect blocked drainage before heavy rain causes flooding. E fit save plenty wahala and prevent damage.</p><p><br/></p><p>However, as robotics continues to grow, we also need to think about its challenges. Some people are afraid that robots will take away jobs. In my opinion, some jobs may change, but new opportunities will also be created. People will still be needed to design, program, repair and manage robots. This is why young people need to start learning more about technology. Skills like programming, electronics, engineering and artificial intelligence may become even more important in the future.</p><p><br/></p><p>Nigeria has many talented young people with great ideas. Instead of always waiting for technology from other countries, we should also create our own solutions. A Nigerian student may understand Nigerian problems better and create a robot or machine specifically designed to solve them. For example, we could develop robotic systems for farming, security, healthcare or environmental problems.</p><p><br/></p><p>The future of robotics should not be about robots replacing humans completely. It should be about humans and machines working together. The goal should be to use technology to solve real problems and make life safer and easier.</p><p><br/></p><p>In the end, robotics is not just about building cool machines. It is about using knowledge and creativity to improve the world around us. And honestly, I believe some of the young people reading about robotics today could be the ones building the machines that change Nigeria tomorrow. Who knows, the next big invention fit even come from our own country. Maybe one day, one Nigerian robot go even tell its owner, “Oga, abeg recharge me first before you send me another mission.” 😂</p>
