When we talk about saggin or sagging we're usually reminded of the rampant fashion trend that runs amok among our male counterparts. Not much people really know what sagging is or what its history is. Most believe it to be a fashion trend that was adopted in the '90s into the hip-hop culture symbolizing affiliation and rebellion, some know the deeper and slightly darker history in the American prison system where sagging was almost always the case as inmates weren't allowed to wear belts due to suicide attempts and the belt being used as a weapon. It was also seen as a way to show to the other inmates that you were available or swung that way. However there's an even darker history of SAGGIN during the slave trade era. Then it went by a slightly different name, BUCK-BREAKING. During those times homosexual slave masters would publicly rape unruly black male slaves and then make them hang their pants low so as to let other slave masters that they have been broken through, it was a sort of marking one could say. They were still made to wear it low even as they were sold to other slave masters. Then they adopted the name SAGGIN which backwards meant NIGGA. This is the real history behind the SAGGING trend. I do hope we remember this , all of this when we decide to sag our pants as a attempt at looking cool .

Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
