I thought I'd done the right thing, pitying Fayor for being bullied. But when she lied about me to save face, I realized my kindness had been misguided. "She will get over it," she said nonchalantly, revealing her true nature.

That moment marked a turning point. I recognized that my constant smiling and accommodating nature had made me a target for exploitation. Clara, the actual bully, escaped punishment, while I faced unjust accusations.

However, I vindicated myself in the staff room, denying the allegations and ultimately being cleared of wrongdoing. Fayor was left to confront her own deceit.

Witnessing her tears, I felt no sympathy, only rage. This experience taught me a valuable lesson: being nice doesn't guarantee respect.

People often view smiling faces as pushovers.

I was gaslighted into believing "I was always the bad person," but I refuse to be a victim again. I've learned to prioritize self-love, not selfishness. I prefer to be the one apologizing, rather than waiting for an apology that may never come.

•

Practicing self-love means setting boundaries without guilt. It's about valuing my time, energy, and emotions. I've learned to say "no" without apology, and I encourage others to do the same.

We can be kind and firm, compassionate and assertive. Smiling doesn't make someone a good person, and we don't need to stop smiling to be taken seriously. We can learn to switch from a smile to a "Don't try that" face.

I prioritize healthy relationships, and I won't tolerate disrespect. No one can say they stopped talking to me because I treated them dirty, I respect my relationships with others a lot. I only don't tolerate disrespect and force connections.

Remember, setting boundaries is self-love, not selfishness. Let's practice assertiveness and prioritize our own needs without apology.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
