Sunday Twists(S1E1) Cycle of covenant: Abraham to Isaac to Jacob to...

Happy Sunday Twocents family!🤗

I want to introduce a series of insights that I would be dropping every Sunday called Sunday Twists. Occurrences in the Bible, Church and Christian body in general that have sparked controversy will be discussed and debated. So get ready for the banter!!😤

🤭Errm...I would have called Reverend Father Cyrus Majebi to declare this series open but he is currently busy with the Protocol officer Emmanuel Daniji. Looks like someone fell under the anointing and broke the CCTV camera during revival hour. 😱(Somebody told me it's Sister Delight Paul but I think Sister Fa Ye did it o👀). Anyways since Father is unavailable, 😂we declare this series open in the name of the FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT, AMEN!🙏

Now to the first ever Sunday Twist:

We believe the covenant GOD made with Abraham passed on to Isaac, also from Isaac it moved to Jacob then through Jacob alias Israel, the covenant began to get established. However, many argue about who the covenant fell upon among the 12 sons of Jacob and we have just 2 candidates: Judah and Joseph. Here were the reasons given:

Judah:

■ According to reason of birthright, Judah is 4th in line but due to the curse Jacob placed on Reuben the firstborn together with Simeon and Levi (Gen49:2-7), the covenant is automatically shifted from them. The next in line was Judah who received a lot of blessings compared to his other brothers. We can say this indicates transfer of covenant right?🤷♂️

■Also, overtime the tribe of Judah became the largest tribe in Israel that they eventually stood solely as a Nation when the Israel kingdom divided into two.(Other tribes consisted of the other faction) Another qualification.👊

■Successful kings👑 like David, Jehoshaphat, Hezekiah, Josiah amongst others all ruled in Judah, infact they were from the tribe of Judah. To cap it all, Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ emanated from the tribe of Judah🤯! Another fantastic qualification.

Joseph:

■Known for his dreams that included huge promises made by GOD to him just like he did to Abraham, can we say GOD was already establishing the continuation of the covenant with him considering the fact that he later bacame the prime minister of Egypt?🤔

■Just like Judah, he also received loads of blessings from his father, Jacob.

■Later in life, the seemingly tribe of Joseph became The House Of Joseph because 2 tribes came out of him; a feat none of his brothers achieved. Isn't that enough reason to conclude that he carried the covenant of his fathers?🤨

What are your thoughts?💁♂️ Share what you know with us. There is room for counters😊🙅♂️. Next week, I'll be sharing the answer I discovered during my research. You can follow so as to get notified when it drops. Till then....stay tuned. 😉

Errrmm....we shall be expecting our Supreme Apostle Tobi Igbinedion to share the grace for us.🤭...😂
