THE DAY I BECAME THE VILLAIN
<p>Based on True story</p><p><br/></p><p>"Leave my house" I shouted, dragging out of my room.</p><p><br/></p><p>My voice echoed through the compound.</p><p><br/></p><p>Neighbours were stretching their necks.</p><p><br/></p><p>“What happened?” one asked.</p><p><br/></p><p>“I barely hear his voice in the compound,” another one whispered.</p><p><br/></p><p>At that moment, our eyes were red.</p><p>Our breath collided, hot against each other's face</p><p><br/></p><p>"I am going nowhere, Ola," she refused.</p><p><br/></p><p>I dragged her. </p><p>She resisted.</p><p><br/></p><p>Is my strength failing me?</p><p><br/></p><p> Nah</p><p><br/></p><p>It became a military tug of war</p><p><br/></p><p>Her punches flew in the air.</p><p><br/></p><p>"Ouch!"</p><p><br/></p><p>One hit my cheek, sending a sharp pain to my jaw.</p><p><br/></p><p>After a physical back and forth; a battle of strength, as I called it, I finally evicted her from my room.</p><p><br/></p><p>I released a breath of relief.</p><p><br/></p><p>My eyes swept around, then I realized that the damage had been done.</p><p><br/></p><p>My portrait frame was cracked.</p><p><br/></p><p> *The best writer of the year award* lay on the floor, looking helpless,broken beyond repair.</p><p><br/></p><p>My clothes hanger had ripened off the wall.</p><p><br/></p><p>Books were scattered across the room.</p><p><br/></p><p>It was as though the storm had swept the room.</p><p><br/></p><p>I bent, picking the books one after the other.</p><p><br/></p><p>Little did I know that what had just happened in the four walls of my room was only the beginning.</p><p><br/></p><p>Omo! I didn't know that within hours the story would take on its own life, leave my room and return with threats and accusations.</p><p><br/></p><p>I never imagined that people I once called bloodies would stand at my doorstep not to hear my side of the story but to judge me.</p><p><br/></p><p>And that was the day I learned that one single narrative can become the only narrative people want to believe </p><p><br/></p><p>To be continued…….. </p><p><br/></p><p>©️Ola</p>
