THE ENDLESS ABYSS
<p>What is this endless abyss, </p><p>The last time I saw it was in my dreams, </p><p>It pulls every good thing to it, </p><p>Every atom of joy, </p><p>But is there any joy in me left, </p><p>I have become the endless pit, </p><p>A dark bay, </p><p>An unending theft, </p><p>Of every good and happy thing that comes my way, </p><p>Why do I write these words? </p><p>Is it an escape? A distraction? </p><p>A way to give myself a level of abstraction? </p><p>Or is it just me coping</p><p>With the fear I bear, oh dear, </p><p>And everyone that comes so near, </p><p>I push away so they don't see Him, </p><p>Him? Who's Him? </p><p>Well, Him is Me, </p><p>But Me isn't Him, </p><p>He's that little boy that couldn't leave his room, </p><p>Couldn't make friends and couldn't loom, </p><p>The embodiment of negativity, that's Him, </p><p>The crash out king that's Him, </p><p>That sudden burst of suppressed emotion, </p><p>The shame that comes with unclear devotion, </p><p>Utter confusion, </p><p>Lost in where to go,what to do,how to be, </p><p>Cause at the end of the day he's just "weird", </p><p>Not normal, </p><p>Not like the rest of the crippling world, </p><p>And he knows, </p><p>He knows he'll never be normal, </p><p>And he's fine with that, </p><p>But everyday he feels some kinda way, </p><p>That he can not relate to everyone's normal day.</p><p>Because in the cracks where " Him" still lingers, </p><p>I find pieces of me. </p><p>But when I look too long, </p><p>I can't tell if it's me I see..... </p><p>Or Him staring back. </p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>
