The Girl Who Learned to See Herself

Amara was a quiet girl who loved dancing, taking pictures, and laughing with her friends. But whenever someone mentioned appearances, she would become uncomfortable.

She often looked at herself in the mirror and focused on the things she thought were “wrong.” She compared herself to girls online and wondered why she couldn't look exactly like them.

One afternoon, Amara's grandmother noticed her sitting quietly.

“Why are you hiding from the mirror?” Grandma asked.

Amara looked down. “I just don't like my body.”

Her grandmother smiled gently and said, “Your body isn't something you need to apologize for. It carries you through your days. It lets you dance, hug people you love, laugh, learn, and experience life.”

Amara thought about those words.

The next morning, she stood in front of the mirror again. This time, instead of searching for flaws, she said, “This is me. I don't have to look like anyone else to deserve kindness.”

She didn't suddenly love every part of herself. But she started treating herself with more patience.

She stopped letting pictures on a screen decide whether she felt beautiful. She wore clothes that made her comfortable, smiled in pictures when she wanted to, and reminded herself that every girl deserves to feel safe and respected in her own body.

Years later, Amara understood something important:

A girl's worth was never measured by her shape, size, skin, face, or appearance.

She was worthy simply because she was herself.

And whenever another girl said, “I wish I looked different,” Amara would smile and say:

“You don't have to be ashamed of the body that carries you through this life. Be gentle with yourself. You are more than what you see in the mirror.”

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.
