The Interview!
<p style="text-align: center; "><strong>The Interview</strong> </p><p>Emeka spent three months applying for jobs</p><p>He had the degree.</p><p>He had the certificates.</p><p>He had completed NYSC.</p><p>He even paid for a professional course because everyone told him to;</p><p>"Add more <strong><em>skills</em></strong> to your CV!!, They said." </p><p>Then one day,</p><p>He had finally landed an Interview with an exclusive company.</p><p>Five people were shortlisted.</p><p>Emeka walked in confidently</p><p>The interviewer glanced at his CV.</p><p>"Very impressive." </p><p>Then his phone rang.</p><p>He answered, his expression changed.</p><p>"Ah, Chairman! Yes sir... Your nephew? No problem." </p><p>The interview ended five minutes later.</p><p>Two days later, Emeka received an email;</p><p><strong>"We regret to inform you..."</strong></p><p>That evening, his friend called.</p><p>"Guy, pele to find job hard these days, don't worry." </p><p>I thought I had it for sure, cried Emeka </p><p>"I heard who got the job," </p><p>" Who?"</p><p>" The Oga's sister's son." </p><p>Emeka <strong>Laughed</strong>.</p><p>Not because it was funny.</p><p>Because, somehow he wasn't even surprised anymore.</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Connection, The Nigerian Qualification!?. </strong></p>
