<p>The Last Seat</p><p><br/></p><p>Every morning, Musa boarded the crowded bus from Agege to the Island. Like everyone else, he was chasing a better life. Some days he got a seat, but most days he stood, holding tightly to the rusty rail as the bus crawled through Lagos traffic.</p><p><br/></p><p>One rainy Monday, only one seat was left. Just as Musa was about to sit, he noticed an elderly woman struggling to keep her balance. Without thinking, he smiled and offered her the seat.</p><p><br/></p><p>"My son, thank you," she said softly.</p><p><br/></p><p>The other passengers watched in silence.</p><p><br/></p><p>When the bus reached her stop, the woman turned back and said, "May the kindness you have shown today open doors for you."</p><p><br/></p><p>Musa smiled, not expecting anything in return.</p><p><br/></p><p>A week later, he attended a job interview. As he entered the office, he froze. Sitting on the interview panel was the same elderly woman. She smiled warmly.</p><p><br/></p><p>"I remember you," she said. "Character is something no certificate can replace."</p><p><br/></p><p>Musa got the job—not because he gave up a seat, but because his kindness revealed the kind of person he was.</p><p><br/></p><p>From that day on, he learned that in Nigeria, where many people struggle every day, a small act of kindness can travel farther than you ever imagine.</p>
