Two Worlds One Map

Enter Abuja and you go feel am for body. For other states, big man and poor man still dey waka same road. Same market, same pothole wey dey swallow tyre. But Abuja? Dem build this place for oga dem.

Pass through Maitama, Asokoro and Garki everywhere just quiet. Big gate with electric wires on their fence,24/7 light, road smooth like glass. You fit even forget say you dey Nigeria. But waka like 20 minutes go Lugbe, Kubwa, or up Mpape hill, na different film. No gutter, tap no dey run, NEPA no show for days. You go see line of yellow kegs for borehole. People dey buy pure water to cook.

Even middle class don dey japa comot. House rent don double. Teacher, banker, government worker now dey live far far. Dem dey wake 4am, dey rub eye for bus, just to reach work for town.

Rich people lock themselves inside estate with their own school, own hospital, own security. Poor man? Na “pack comot” paper and fear say caterpillar fit land tomorrow. Same Abuja, but na two different life. And the space between dem dey wide every day.
