</p><p>When we see ourselves in the ugliest of situations,
</p><p>We wait, we cry, we seek earnestly for salvation
</p><p>But find none.
</p><p>Oh… how can we get back up?
</p><p>When the world, our families, friends, acquaintances
</p><p>oh, even our perky friends
</p><p>look up to us for something great and wonderful,
</p><p>yet we find ourselves stuck in a truckload of failure…
</p><p>Oh, how can we get back up?
</p><p>It’s painful. It’s sickening. It’s demoralizing</p><p>When our expectations are dashed.</p><p>What is the way out?
</p><p>Who can help us out?
</p><p>I write out of pain, real pain.
</p><p>My heart sinks when I think of home: of Mom. Dad. Church. Friends.</p><p>Of course, it shouldn’t be so.
</p><p>But the journey of life feels straight and precise,
</p><p>yet it’s riddled with unpredictable turns.
