<p>Oh my goodness, where’s Mike?’</p><p>This was the question dessy asked after he realized he went on an errand with his brother.</p><p><br/></p><p>‘Mikeeeeee’, he shouted across the street.</p><p>But where’s Mike? Who knows, may be he went home, or he dropped at his friends house to gist, or just maybe he’s actually missing.</p><p><br/></p><p>‘But he was right here, ohhhhh now mommy will know I stopped at the game store to play video games when I was sent on an errand’ </p><p><br/></p><p>He walked down the street, checking every shop and asking ‘did you see Mike?’ But that question had no answer. </p><p>It was getting late, and one thing Mrs job hate was lateness, it’s dinner time and dessy is not back from the market. ‘Just to buy Okpehe, only Okpehe, how much is it, just 200naira and they’re not yet back, I just hope dessy did not stop at the game store, cause I will deal with him’ </p><p>She said while mopping the floor, the smell of the soup already filled the air, but the last ingredient was still missing ‘Okpehe’. </p><p><br/></p><p>By that time dessy was already soaked in tears, crying around the street in search of Mike, unknown to him, a neighbor had bolted down to their house and broke the unverified news to his mother ‘mama dessy, Mike is missing’ </p><p>It sounded like a joke to her, but Mrs job is not the type to panic, she slowly walks to the kitchen and turned the gas off, changed her clothes, locked the door and followed her neighbor to where dessy was. </p><p>Sighting her, he almost passed out, he imagined the terror he would face when they get home. </p><p>‘Mommy’ that was all he could say. </p><p>‘Dessy, where is Mike?’ She asked hoping to get an answer, but she continued, ‘did you stop at the game store?’ There’s no need to lie now, so he answered ‘yes, but I’m sorry,I can explain’. Without hesitation, she grabbed him by his hand walked home.</p>
