<p>LISS WHISPERS | A Slice of Today</p><p><br/></p><p>I was in a hurry to leave the office today. The rain had already started drizzling, and all I could think about was getting home before it became heavier. I had been drenched on my way to work that morning, and my clothes stayed cold for hours. No matter how hard I tried to warm up, I couldn't shake the chill. By closing time, I was still freezing.</p><p><br/></p><p>So I packed my bag and headed out, hoping to beat the rain.</p><p><br/></p><p>The roads were unusually busy. Everyone seemed to be walking faster than normal. Some people ran from one shop canopy to another. Others stopped to buy umbrellas from roadside sellers. I pulled my bag a little closer and kept walking, praying the rain would wait just a little longer.</p><p><br/></p><p>Thankfully, it did.</p><p><br/></p><p>By the time I got home, I was tired more than anything else. I changed into dry clothes and was finally beginning to feel warm again when my phone rang.</p><p><br/></p><p>It was my BM.</p><p><br/></p><p>She didn't call about work. Instead, she asked, "You looked gloomy today. Are you okay?"</p><p>I told her how I got drenched on my way to the office that morning and how I had been feeling cold all day.</p><p><br/></p><p>She listened quietly.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then she said, "I've sent you a little token. Please get yourself some balm."</p><p><br/></p><p>For a moment, I didn't know what to say. It wasn't even about the money. It was the thought behind it.</p><p><br/></p><p>The fact that someone noticed I wasn't myself. The fact that someone cared enough to check on me after work. The fact that kindness found me on such an ordinary day.</p><p><br/></p><p>I won't lie, it brought tears to my eyes.</p><p><br/></p><p>Maybe because I'm not used to receiving that kind of care from someone who isn't my immediate family.</p><p><br/></p><p>Today reminded me that sometimes, the people who show us the most unexpected kindness are the ones we least expect.</p><p><br/></p><p>And sometimes, the smallest gestures, a phone call, a simple question, a thoughtful gift, can make a heavy day feel a little lighter.</p><p><br/></p><p>I guess that's what stayed with me today.</p><p><br/></p><p>~Betty Liss</p><p><br/></p><p><br/></p>
At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
