<p>"Day One" — a day I called myself out.</p><p><br/></p><p>Where are you?  </p><p>Where have you been?  </p><p>You are not in the presence —  </p><p>Your presence is absent.  </p><p><br/></p><p>Your voice is not calling.  </p><p>Your eyes have gone blind.  </p><p>Your ears have been deaf.  </p><p>You are lost in the darkness of the world.  </p><p><br/></p><p>You are not you.  </p><p>You are not you.  </p><p><br/></p><p>This is not me.  </p><p>This isn't who I am.  </p><p>The me is not here.  </p><p>The me is not present.  </p><p>The me is absent.  </p><p><br/></p><p>I can't see it.  </p><p>I can't feel it.  </p><p>I hear nothing.  </p><p><br/></p><p>But</p><p><br/></p><p>It has come to a pitch where I bring myself out of the darkness I was buried in.  </p><p>It is time to pull myself out of the burdens on my soul.  </p><p>It is finally time to embrace the me that wants to do greater things —  </p><p><br/></p><p>Without hurry,  </p><p>Without fear,  </p><p>Without the scare of what is coming,  </p><p>Without the hope of not falling,  </p><p>Without waiting for someone to pull me up when I'm down,  </p><p>Without the eyes that lack focus and insight,  </p><p>Without the ears that refuse to hearken to me,  </p><p>Without the feelings</p><p> that I am bound.  </p><p><br/></p><p>_I am present._</p><p><br/></p>
