Can we PLEASE talk about period cramps? Because what exactly did my uterus do to deserve this level of violence?!

One minute I’m minding my business, living my life, and the next minute my lower abdomen decides it’s hosting the World War III Championships. I’m curled up in bed, clutching my stomach like I’ve been personally betrayed by my own organs.

And people will be like, “Oh, it’s just cramps.”

JUST cramps?!

The people that say that piss me off. Especially the girls who don’t experience it and then they try to downplay the pain the ones who experience it feel. What happened to being a girl’s girl??

If someone punched you repeatedly in the stomach for hours, nobody would call that “just” anything! Meanwhile, I’m expected to carry on with my day like my uterus isn’t currently trying to fold me into a human question mark.

The back pain. The nausea. The diarrhea. The exhaustion. The mood swings. The random urge to cry or lash out because someone breathed too loudly. Let’s not forget the butthole cramps, the absolute worst! If you don’t go through that, you’re soooo lucky.

And somehow, after surviving all of that, I’m supposed to smile and say, “I’m fine.”

No. I am not fine.

I am fighting for my life against an organ that apparently has a monthly personal vendetta against me.

And then when you’re at home fighting for your life, your name keeps getting called. Excuse me, I can barely stand!😭

They say you’re giving excuses though, so you have to force yourself to get up. Sometimes, in tears.

At this point, I don’t want an apology from my uterus. I want compensation. I should be paid for this honestly

It’s been years but I can’t get used to this pain. Some months are more painful than others.

I think I’ll just end my rant here.

At the end of the month, we give out prizes in 3 categories: Best Content, Top Engagers and
Most Engaged Content.
Best Content
Top Engagers
Most Engaged Content
Best Content
We give out cash prizes to between 7 and 20 community members with the best insights in the past month.
The winners are picked by an in-house selection process.
The winners are NOT picked from the leaderboards/rankings, we choose winners based on the quality, originality
and insightfulness of their content.
Here are a few other things to know for the Best Content track
1
Quality over Quantity — You stand a higher chance of winning by publishing a few really good insights across the entire month,
rather than a lot of low-quality, spammy posts.
2
Share original, authentic, and engaging content that clearly reflects your voice, thoughts, and opinions.
3
Avoid using AI to generate content—use it instead to correct grammar, improve flow, enhance structure, and boost clarity.
4
Explore audio content—high-quality audio insights can significantly boost your chances of standing out.
5
Use eye-catching cover images—if your content doesn't attract attention, it's less likely to be read or engaged with.
6
Share your content in your social circles to build engagement around it.

Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
