Everybody is talking, but how many people are actually thinking?

Everybody is talking, but how many people are actually thinking?

Social media has given us speed—fast news, fast opinions, fast trends. One post, one tweet, one video… and suddenly everyone has something to say. But if we’re being honest, most of it is surface-level. We react more than we reflect. We scroll more than we study. You can spend hours online and still not walk away with one solid idea that truly sticks.

Books, on the other hand, don’t rush you. They don’t scream for your attention. They demand your time, your focus, your patience—and that’s exactly why they matter. They break things down, they build arguments, they connect ideas. They don’t just tell you what to think, they show you how to think.

Social media can make you feel informed, but books actually make you understand. One feeds you in bits, the other builds you in layers. One is loud and everywhere, the other is quiet but powerful.

Let’s be real—social media influences the crowd. It controls trends, shapes conversations, and decides what people talk about today. But books? Books shape the individual. And it’s always individuals with depth, clarity, and strong thinking that end up influencing the world tomorrow.

So no, speed is not the same as depth. Virality is not the same as value. And being updated is not the same as being educated.

At the end of the day, the real question isn’t which one is louder—it’s which one is actually shaping your mind.

📌 So tell me… are you being informed, or just entertained?
