I tear up at beautiful things and people
<p>I tear up when I see beautiful things and beautiful people.</p><p><br/></p><p>Not because the beauty moves me, or puts me in awe,</p><p>but because it sheds light on how much I am void of that beauty.</p><p><br/></p><p>Every glimmer and smile proves to me that something unreachable for me exists, and it exists just fine without me—</p><p>so effortlessly being, without sabotage or doubt,</p><p>while I let go pieces of my mind so I can permit myself to see the next day.</p><p><br/></p><p>It's liberated, the beauty,</p><p>from any and all that could chain it and drag it down into ugliness;</p><p>down to where I remain.</p><p>Long has my hope left me there to die.</p>
