The Seaside
<p>I'd always wanted to live near the seaside. </p><p>To wake up to a shimmering sun and to take walks along the hot sand. </p><p>But out of them all, I'd always wanted to swim in the sea. </p><p><br/></p><p>I begged my parents, time and time again... </p><p><br/></p><p>"Mummy! Daddy! Can we move near the beach? The seaside? Pretty please? It'll be so much fun. And it's been my dream for forever!" </p><p>"Oh my love, even if we could, you're too nimble to walk outside, talk less of swimming in the water" </p><p>"That's right, listen to your mother" </p><p><br/></p><p>Every time I asked, they'd give me the same response... </p><p><br/></p><p>"You're too sick", "You're not strong enough" </p><p><br/></p><p>I wish I was never sick. </p><p>I wish that I could be like any other kid, that didn't need tubes connected to their body to stay stable. </p><p>I wish I could have the life that any other 7 year old could have.</p><p>I hated my life. </p><p><br/></p><p>Until one night, when I was sleeping, I heard a siren-like voice calling out to me... </p><p>"Auri... Auri..." </p><p>It's voice was so smooth yet so cold. It sounded so eerie yet calm, like it came from still waters. </p><p>I woke up groggily, finding myself following the voice to the door of my house, leaving my IV behind. </p><p>Then I opened the door to see... A beach! </p><p>I was astonished! </p><p>How could this be? </p><p><br/></p><p>I didn't bother to question anything and just ran out into the scene. </p><p>I rolled in the sand and made sand castles, just like in the movies. </p><p>I climbed the palm trees and ate the fruits that grew from them, I can't remember what they tasted like though. </p><p><br/></p><p>And finally, I came close to the water. </p><p>I was afraid of stepping in at first, but the reality of having my dream come true far outweighed my fears. </p><p>So I walked into the water, and swam. </p><p>It felt like I was floating, it felt so surreal! </p><p>I had the best time of my life, splashing and splishing in the waves. </p><p>Then I remembered.. </p><p><br/></p><p>"Mummy! Daddy! I have to show them this place." </p><p><br/></p><p>But when I turned around to go back home, I couldn't find my house anywhere. </p><p>Then I looked around, and everything was gone. </p><p>The sand, the trees, the water. </p><p>It all disappeared. </p><p>And everything turned dark, and I couldn't feel anything anymore. </p><p><br/></p><p>"I think I'm just a bit tired, yeahh that should be it.-</p><p>I'll just take a short nap, but once I wake up, I'll tell mummy and daddy everything..." </p>
