<p><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>Somewhere along the line I noticed a pattern.</p><p>And today I’m too tired to pretend I don’t see it.</p><p><br/></p><p>I meet someone.</p><p>We vibe.</p><p>We talk every day.</p><p>We build something that looks like friendship… or loyalty… or connection.</p><p><br/></p><p>Then one day — <em>boom</em>.</p><p><br/></p><p>Distance.</p><p><br/></p><p>Silence.</p><p><br/></p><p>And suddenly they’re explaining why they need to disappear from my life like they’re doing me some kind of emotional favor.</p><p><br/></p><p>“I need to stay off for a while.”</p><p><br/></p><p>“There’s a good reason.”</p><p><br/></p><p>“You should understand.”</p><p><br/></p><p>You <em>should understand.</em></p><p><br/></p><p>That sentence always lands like a quiet manipulation.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because the moment you say you don’t understand…</p><p>suddenly you’re the insensitive one.</p><p><br/></p><p>You’re the bad guy for asking questions.</p><p><br/></p><p>You’re the problem for wanting consistency.</p><p><br/></p><p>But let me be honest today.</p><p><br/></p><p>I <strong>don’t understand</strong>.</p><p><br/></p><p>What exactly does cutting someone off have to do with “needing focus”?</p><p><br/></p><p>How does disappearing equal “working on yourself”?</p><p><br/></p><p>And why start building something with me if you already knew you weren’t going to stay long enough to finish the damn house?</p><p><br/></p><p>Don’t move into my head and then act like you never signed the lease.</p><p><br/></p><p>Don’t occupy emotional real estate you never planned to pay rent for.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because here’s the truth I’ve been swallowing for too long:</p><p><br/></p><p>Some people don’t leave because of you.</p><p><br/></p><p>They leave because <strong>temporary was always the plan.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>And the excuses?</p><p><br/></p><p>Those are just clean bandages for a messy exit.</p><p><br/></p><p>But you know what…</p><p><br/></p><p>I’m done fighting to keep people who are already halfway out the door.</p><p><br/></p><p>I’m done negotiating my presence in anyone’s life.</p><p><br/></p><p>I’m done begging people to stay where they clearly don’t want to be.</p><p><br/></p><p>If leaving makes your life lighter…</p><p><br/></p><p>Then go.</p><p><br/></p><p>No arguments.</p><p>No emotional hostage situation.</p><p>No dramatic speeches.</p><p><br/></p><p>Just go.</p><p><br/></p><p>Because for the first time in a long time I’m realizing something powerful:</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>Loneliness doesn’t scare me anymore.</strong></p><p><br/></p><p>What scares me is investing in people who already planned their exit.</p><p><br/></p><p>So yeah…</p><p><br/></p><p>If everyone eventually finds a reason to leave,</p><p><br/></p><p>then maybe the peace I’ve been looking for</p><p>was always going to be found</p><p><br/></p><p><strong>alone</strong>.</p><p><br/></p>

Top Engagers
For the Top Engagers Track, we award the top 3 people who engage the most with other user's content via
comments.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Engagers" tab on the rankings page.
Most Engaged Content
The Most Engaged Content recognizes users whose content received the most engagement during the month.
We pick the top 3.
The winners are picked using the "Top Monthly Contributors" tab on the rankings page.
Contributor Rankings
The Rankings/Leaderboard shows the Top 20 contributors and engagers on TwoCents a monthly and all-time basis
— as well as the most active colleges (users attending/that attended those colleges)
The all-time contributors ranking is based on the Contributor Score, which is a measure of all the engagement and exposure a contributor's content receives.
The monthly contributors ranking tracks performance of a user's insights for the current month. The monthly and all-time scores are calcuated DIFFERENTLY.
This page also shows the top engagers on an all-time & monthly basis.
