Justice
<p>This is how my journey began,</p><p>With not even six of a Pence.</p><p>This is how I started,</p><p>With my emotions suspended in the clouds and i could not reach out to them.</p><p>I held on to justice but it rejected my hand of friendship and told me I was blind.</p><p>To be fit and proper was all I worked to earn.</p><p>A call to bar certificate in my name,a primary synonymous degree,to be a part of the body of benchers, and a social status which didn't get to ring a bell in my ego.</p><p>I aver to the truth that I made the junks I fed on.</p><p>I needed no further other order to do what I did.</p><p>I had three temperaments,picking weekly, whichever I wanted.</p><p>I changed my hats easily.</p><p>I was in for change, positive.</p><p><br/></p><p>They were there.</p><p>Different souls clothed in body and cotton and fibre wears.</p><p>Sometimes I tuned my thinking to go with the popular reasoning they had.</p><p>Most times,they attested that mine mine was obviously otherwise.</p><p>My kind of justice was not theirs.</p><p>My "right ''was their "optional''</p><p>My "wrongs'' were things they approved .</p><p>I found out that I was in a world where white is dipped in black permanent ink as thick as blood </p><p>Sometimes,yellow was influenced by haemoglobin and black shone like albumen.</p><p>I gave my word and my deeds were in consonance with it but...</p><p>They said no!</p><p>The pay was more important than integrity to them </p><p>"The job must be done in our interest"they finalised.</p><p>I stood there robbed of a task I am equal to but wasn't equal to my conscience or the sanctity of my mind.</p><p>Justice held on to my feet with her wrinkled hands, pleading for compassion and attention.</p><p>Her tears dripped till it washed the polish off my shoes ,my hear beat faster.</p><p>I mounted the stage ready for a revolution!</p><p>A renaissance!.</p><p>To do justice to justice by my just judgement.</p><p>This is all I have invested my life in; justice.</p><p>I gave justice my voice!</p>
